I’ve been thinking about this lately because my parish recently changed the music schedule and it made me notice how different parts of the Mass hit my heart on different Sundays.
Some weeks I’m really moved by the Liturgy of the Word and the homily, other weeks I’m basically counting the minutes until the Eucharist because that’s where I feel the most peace. I also have two little kids, so sometimes “my favorite part” is honestly the moment we finally settle down and can pray again.
So I’m curious: what is your favorite part of the Mass, and why? Is it always the same, or does it change depending on what you’re going through? I’d love to hear what draws you in—prayers, silence, music, the Sign of Peace, receiving Communion, the dismissal, anything.
