Hi everyone—Advent always sneaks up on me. I love the feeling of the season (the waiting, the quiet, the hope), but I also struggle to make it more than just “December chaos” with shopping, end-of-year work deadlines, and family stuff.
This year I really want a simple set of Advent practices I can actually keep: something prayerful, Catholic, and doable. I’ve done an Advent wreath in the past, but I’m inconsistent. I’m also curious about traditions like the O Antiphons, daily Mass, confession, or any Marian devotions that help you enter into the season.
What are your favorite Advent practices—either personal or as a family? And what helps you stay faithful to them when life gets busy?
