I’m 19 and trying to take my Catholic faith seriously, but I get stuck on what “witnessing” actually looks like. I’m not ashamed of being Catholic, but I also don’t want to come off preachy or fake. Most of my friends are nice, but religion is either a joke to them or they’ve been hurt by churches in the past.
I go to Mass (most Sundays), I try to pray, and I’m in college where everything feels very loud online and very awkward in real life. I’m also on social media and I see people either posting aggressive religious takes or totally hiding their faith. I’m somewhere in the middle.
So what are concrete, realistic ways young Catholics can witness their faith—at school, at work, in friendships, dating, and online? How do you do it with humility and love, and not just as a “statement”?
