Hi everyone, I’m a cradle Catholic but honestly I’ve never had much of a relationship with my guardian angel beyond the short childhood prayer. Lately I’ve been feeling drawn to take it more seriously—partly because I’m trying to build a more consistent prayer life, and partly because I’m dealing with a lot of distraction and anxiety and I want to lean into what the Church actually teaches instead of random “spiritual” stuff online.
I don’t want anything weird or superstitious. I just want a healthy Catholic devotion: something that helps me stay close to Jesus, avoid sin, and feel guided without turning it into magic. What are concrete practices (prayers, readings, habits) that helped you develop devotion to your guardian angel? And how do you know you’re doing it in a balanced way?
