Hi everyone. I’m dealing with a long stretch of illness (lots of appointments, fatigue, and some scary unknowns). I’m doing what my doctors ask, but spiritually I feel all over the place. Some days I pray and feel peace, other days I feel angry, numb, or guilty for not being “strong enough.”
I’ve always believed in God, but when you’re stuck in pain or waiting for test results, it’s hard to know what to do with faith in a practical way. What does the Church actually mean when people say “offer it up”? How do you pray when you can’t focus? And how can faith help without turning into denial or toxic positivity?
If you’ve been through illness (your own or someone you love), I’d really appreciate any Catholic guidance—Scripture, saints, prayers, sacraments, or just what helped you make it through day by day.
