I’ve been thinking a lot about evangelization lately, but I’m honestly not sure what it looks like in 2026.
I’m a practicing Catholic and I love the faith, but most of my friends and coworkers are either “spiritual but not religious,” ex-Christian, or just not interested. I don’t want to be pushy or turn every conversation into an argument, but I also don’t want to hide my faith out of fear of being judged.
I see Catholics online debating constantly, and sometimes it feels like it makes things worse. At the same time, it seems like the world is hungry for hope, community, and truth.
So what does evangelizing effectively look like today for ordinary people—at work, in family life, online, with friends? Are there practical steps that actually help, and how do you do it without being cringe or aggressive? Also, how do we keep it centered on Jesus and not just “winning” discussions?
